In 2021, we had our office Christmas Party with cash raffle prizes. 10 consolation prizes of $100 each, 3rd prize of $200, 2nd prize of $300 & 1st prize of $700. Everyone was so excited. Loudly jokes about winning the 1st prize. While I listened, I discreetly smiled & silently prayed, “Lord perhaps it would be nice if I win the 1st prize & they would see that I have a living God & they will praise You, our Father in heaven.” When my Manager came & saw me, she exclaimed, “wow, you’re beautiful in red! Maybe you will win the 1st prize.” I laughed & replied, “let it be Mam.” Raffle draw portion— Everyone drawn their rolled piece from a fish bowl. I took mine & preferred not to open it yet until everyone does. They were giggling & asking who got the 1st prize. I opened mine. My heart skip a bit when I read, “Congratulations-1st Prize” Quite in disbelief. But humbly I announced “I got the 1st price, thank you Lord Jesus!”
